Christmas and New Year's Eve Opening Hours & Delivery Dates
Christmas, New Year’s Eve and fireworks go together like mince pies and slightly questionable jumpers – which means this is one of the busiest times of the year at Epic HQ.
The Barnsley showroom will be buzzing, the phones will be ringing, the tills will be doing cardio… and at some point, the team will need to go home, eat something that isn’t a quick grab-and-go, and see their families.
So, to save you a wasted journey (and a sulk in the car park), here’s how we’re handling Christmas and New Year.
Christmas & New Year 2025 Showroom Opening Hours
Planning a trip to our Barnsley showroom for your end-of-year fireworks haul? Excellent choice – it’s Britain’s biggest dedicated fireworks showroom, and the shelves will be stacked high with New Year’s Eve bangers (the legal kind).
Here’s when we’ll be open and closed over Christmas and New Year:
- Tuesday 23rd Dec – 10am–3pm
- Wednesday 24th Dec – 10am–3pm
- Thursday 25th Dec – CLOSED
- Friday 26th Dec – CLOSED
- Saturday 27th Dec – 9am–5pm
- Sunday 28th Dec – 9am–5pm
- Monday 29th Dec – 9am–5pm
- Tuesday 30th Dec – 9am–5pm
- Wednesday 31st Dec – 9am–5pm
- Thursday 1st Jan – CLOSED
- Friday 2nd Jan – 10am–3pm
A few quick reminders for showroom visits:
-
You can browse at leisure – there are hundreds of products on display.
-
We’re happy to help plan a display if you come in with a rough budget and garden size.
-
There’s plenty of free parking, but the closer you get to New Year’s Eve, the busier it gets – arrive early if you can.
If you’re making a long journey, it’s always worth giving us a call, just in case of any last-minute changes.
Online Orders & Final New Year’s Eve Delivery Date
If you’d rather shop in your slippers with a mug of something hot on the go, the Epic Fireworks online shop is open 24/7.
However, our courier partners are definitely not delivering 24/7, and they like a bit of notice – especially between Christmas and New Year, when the whole country remembers online shopping exists.
So every year, we set a clear final cut-off. This year it's 10pm on the 26th of December for UK mainland delivery in time for New Year’s Eve (excluding some remote locations).
After that date, the website will stay open (we never close the internet), but orders placed after the cut-off may not arrive in time for New Year’s Eve and may roll over into the New Year.
If you’re cutting it fine, our top tips are:
-
Order as early as you can – stock is great, delivery networks are… festive.
-
Make sure someone is available to sign for the delivery – fireworks can’t be left in a bin behind the shed.
-
Consider a showroom visit if you’re really down to the wire and within driving distance.

Worried About the Weather?
It’s the UK. Of course you are, we're in the UK.
The good news is that drizzle, cold and even a bit of snow don’t have to ruin your New Year’s display. The bad news is that wind can – and that’s when you need a plan.
Our article explains how different types of weather affect fireworks displays and how you can manage them.

Finally, a slightly soppy bit.
Whether you’ve:
-
Trekked to our Barnsley showroom in the rain,

Ordered online from the sofa in your pyjamas, or
-
Spent way too long reading our blog posts about barrages…
…thank you.
