MANCHESTER MISERY AS MORE FIREWORK EVENTS ARE CANCELLED

This devastating virus, that has struck the UK hard, particularly the entertainment industry continues to create a path of destruction of people and businesses in its wake.

The latest news from the City of Manchester states that all organised fireworks displays are cancelled, including all official Bonfire Night display, the fireworks for Christmas Lights switch on and the upcoming New Year’s Eve events.

This decision comes as the City of Manchester has now one of the highest incidence of infection rates in the UK.

Manchester Council spokesmen remain hopeful that the Manchester Christmas Markets will still take place but at this time, the decision about this remains on hold. The lights will still line the streets as usual but without the usual celebratory switch on. Public safety must remain at the forefront of decision making, but we reserve the right to be upset and frustrated that Summer and now Christmas is being affected by this horrid virus.
