Japanese Fireworks

This beautiful photograph really sets the scene well.

The crowds gather round to enjoy the fireworks over the lake. Framing the shot with the torii in the centre, the photographer has given the eye a focal point to rest on while taking in the surroundings. The magnificent red glow silhouettes the torri, the trees and the spectators.

We like this picture a lot, not least because it taught us the word torii, not sure when the next opportunity will arise to use the word but it's nice to learn something new.
