If you thought 2024’s late-night fireworks at Blackpool Pleasure Beach were good, just wait until you see what 2025 has in store. This year, the legendary resort is throwing open its gates after dark more times than it has in two years, with nine jam-packed late-night events ready to dazzle your socks off.

There are two types of after-hours excitement on the calendar: Twilight Thrills and Late Night Riding with Fireworks. Both are big fun, but only one ends with the night being lit up like Blackpool Illuminations on caffeine.

Let’s break it down so you can plan accordingly (and make sure your phone’s charged for those all-important firework photos). 

2025 Late Night Dates You Need in Your Diary

Here’s when you can soak up the theme park atmosphere after hours:

Twilight Thrills (10am–9pm)

These events give you 11 hours of rollercoasters, live DJs, dancers and entertainment—perfect if you want all the energy of a night out without the glitter in your shoes.

Late Night Riding with Fireworks (10am–10pm)

This is the main event—the whole shebang. Thrilling rides by twilight, live entertainment, and a themed firework display to wrap it all up with a bang at 10pm.

Hotel Guest Perks: One Shot, One Ride, One Hour

Staying at the Big Blue or the Boulevard Hotel? Lucky you. Hotel guests can now grab a free one-shot ticket from reception that gets them into the park during the final hour of the day—just enough time to squeeze in one last ride (or your first, if you’ve spent the day in the spa).

And yes, if it’s a fireworks night, that also means you’re perfectly placed to enjoy the pyrotechnic show as a nightcap.

Not content with being the home of rollercoasters and rock, Blackpool is once again hosting the World Fireworks Championship in 2025. This iconic event brings the best pyrotechnic teams from across the globe to battle it out with jaw-dropping displays synchronised to music.

Where to Watch the Fireworks

If you’re inside the Pleasure Beach, the best views are from wide open spaces within the park. If you’re out and about, the promenade is your go-to. Anywhere with a clear line of sight to the skies above the Tower will do the trick. Just be sure to arrive early—Blackpool doesn’t do half measures when it comes to crowds.

And if you're staying all day, bear in mind a few rides will close early on firework nights due to safety zones. These include ICON, Sky Force, The Big One, and a few others—so if they’re on your bucket list, get them done before the sun goes down.
