How To Plan Your Bonfire Night Like A Pro

Before you head out into the night, a bit of planning goes a long way — especially with crowds and cold weather in the mix. Here are a few quick tips to make sure the only sparks flying are the ones in the sky:

  • Book early: The most popular fireworks displays regularly sell out weeks in advance.

  • Arrive on time: Gates often open well before the fireworks start, so you can snag a good viewing spot (and avoid car park chaos).

  • Dress for the weather: Think layers, boots and gloves. You’ll be standing around, and it gets cold fast once the sun goes down.

Bonfire Night Safety Reminder

It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement, but safety should never take a back seat. Always follow event rules and keep a safe distance from the fireworks and bonfire areas.

If you’re heading to a display with little ones, consider bringing ear defenders — especially for younger kids who might be startled by the noise.

And if you’re planning your own back garden fireworks display, check local council rules on noise curfews and safety distances.
