York Autumn Lights 2024: Fireworks, Family Fun, and an Epic Night Out

York is getting ready for another round of spectacular fireworks and family entertainment with the Autumn Lights event at Elvington Airfield on Monday, 4th November 2024.

With a jam-packed schedule of performances, music, and two pyromusical firework displays, this is an evening you won’t want to miss. It’s the perfect way to kick off the bonfire season in style, with something to entertain everyone in the family.

What to Expect at York Autumn Lights

York Autumn Lights has plenty to keep the whole family entertained. From fairground rides and live performances to dazzling fire shows, there’s something for everyone, young or old.

The event opens at 4pm with gates, street food stalls, bars, and the family funfair ready to go. DJ Ryan Swain will be keeping things lively from 4pm until 5:40pm, leading right into the La Flamo Fire Show. The unique Spark! Drummers are on at 6pm, bringing their magical illuminated performance to life, and for a dose of nostalgia, 90s music legends Phatts and Small will take to the stage from 6:40pm to 7:40pm.

The fireworks begin with a bang at 7:40pm, timed to music from around the world, followed by another fiery display from La Flamo before the night wraps up with a huge party band and a grand finale firework show at 9pm. The roaming glow performers will be popping up throughout the night, adding even more atmosphere to the event.

This is a family-friendly affair, with a wide range of food, drink, and entertainment for all ages. If you’re bringing little ones, remember that the fireworks can be loud, so it’s a good idea to pack some ear defenders. If you forget, don’t worry—ear defenders can be purchased on the gate or at the bar.

Exploring the Area: What to Do Around Elvington Airfield

If you’re heading to the event early or want to make a full day of it, why not explore some of the local attractions around Elvington?
