WORLD CUP BEGINS WITH A BANG!

Qatar is the first middle eastern country to host the world cup, which was opened in spectacular style with a knock-your-socks-off firework display!



As this wonderful display lit up the skyline, the players from both the Ecuador and Qatar sides geared up ready for the first game, from which Ecuador took the win!

Take a look at our previous blog post for a bit more insight into the planning and infrastructure that has gone into this World Cup, which is set to be the most expensive in history. The stadium with the highest capacity is Lusail Stadium, which can hold 80,000 people!
