Sandown Carnival's Easter Fireworks Eggstravaganza: Everything You Need to Know

After sadly having to cancel this year's New Year's Day firework display due to bad weather, Sandown Carnival have announced that the display has been rescheduled to later this year.  

Dubbed the Easter Fireworks Eggstravanganza, here's everything you need to know about this dazzling Easter event:

Date and Time

Mark your calendars for Saturday, 30th March 2024. The Easter Fireworks Eggstravaganza will kick off at 19:30 and fill the night sky until 20:00.

Free Entry

Embracing the community spirit, Sandown Carnival offers free entry to the Easter Fireworks Eggstravaganza. However, donations are gratefully accepted to support this fantastic community event. Look out for dedicated volunteers stationed around the esplanade with collection buckets. Plus, donations can also be made online at Givetap.

Location

The fireworks will be set off from the end of Sandown Pier (Esplanade, Sandown, Isle Of Wight, PO36 8JT) ensuring a great view for everyone, but make sure you head to The Bay early to secure your spot along the Esplanade for the best views of the display.

Driving to the event? Enter the address Esplanade, Sandown, Isle Of Wight, PO36 8JT into your sat nav and follow the route.

From East Cowes ferry, take the second exit at the roundabout onto Well Road, A3021, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3056 to Lake, A3055 to Sandown.

From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Ryde (Esplanade), straight along the Esplanade to the boating lake, follow the road round to the right onto A3055 to Sandown.

From Yarmouth ferry, A3054 to Newport, A3020 to Sandown, A3056 to Lake, A3055 to Sandown.

All parking at the Esplanade is on-street.

Road Closures for Safety
To ensure the safety of the crowd, road closures will be in effect on the Esplanade and Pier Street before, during, and after the display. The closures will last for around one hour. If your vehicle is parked within the road closure area, please be patient and wait for the crowds to disperse before heading home.
