SAITAMA CITY FIREWORKS FESTIVAL

SAITAMA CITY FIREWORKS FESTIVAL

The major city Saitama is normally well known for its spectacular views and picture worthy architecture.

This year will be the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Saitama City.

To celebrate they will be holding a special version of its usual Hanabi event.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, they will instead be holding a ‘Stay home fireworks festival’.

They are allowing people all around the world to peek at one of Tokyo’s most exciting, traditional events.

The event will go ahead on the 28th august 2021 starting at 6:30pm and broadcast on TV Saitama TV and YouTube.

The video will be available to view at leisure after the event.

Fireworks will be set off in several different locations around the city for 5 minutes.

There will be a catch however for those living in the giant city.

The firework displays locations will be kept top secret! This is to make sure spectators don’t gather in crowds on the streets to stop the spread of coronavirus.

They have stated that if too many gather on the sites or in the case of stormy weather, the organizers will have no choice but to cancel the event.

Instead, they have encouraged the people of Saitama to keep watching the skies from the comfort of their homes.

I know all of us here at Epic Fireworks will be looking forward to getting a rare glimpse of this traditional celebration.

The event is sponsored by the Saitama City Fireworks Festival Executive Committee.
