Fancy some fashion, food, fun and fireworks? Then look no further as the ever popular Riverfest comes around again for its eleventh year.

This year, on the second of May, Riverfest 2015 welcomes Ireland's biggest ever barbecue competition. Prizes are up for grabs for the best dressed stand, best in class: whether that be chicken, pork or beef, most entertaining stall, best hygiene and the search for Limericks very own Barbecue sauce. Sponsored by Coors light, who are offering a thousand Euros up for the winner and a year’s worth of bragging rights, competition is sure to be fierce and hopefully tasty.

For those how can hold a tune unlike most of us here at Epic, there will also be a busking competition with a prize of €750, studio time at RedDoor productions and a support spot at Dolans pub, the prize is being offered by Steamboat music.

As well as something for the foodies there will be a soapbox race for those with a taste for speed, and a €500 prize for the fastest. This is a very popular part of the festivals festivities kicking off from Denmark Street on Friday 1st May. The event is usually attended by tens of thousands of spectators, so plan ahead and get there early if you want to be in with a chance of a front row spot.

The more energetic among you may feel like joining around 13,000 other fun-runners will be raising funds for their chosen charity.

It is the evening show we will be most interested in as from 9:45pm on the Sunday the madness begins with a SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS DISPLAY from the world-famous Pains fireworks, closing the event for another year in Epic style.
