From the Air Show Weekend to the Illuminations Switch-On, the World Fireworks Championships, and the Lightpool Festival, the town has pulled out all the stops. We are looking forward to ending the year with a flourish.”

What to Expect at Christmas By The Sea

Open daily from noon until 9pm (except Christmas Day), Christmas By The Sea is packed with festive fun. The free-to-use skating rink is a highlight, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There are festive light installations, projection shows, and log cabins serving up delicious food and drink. Snowfalls, sparkling Christmas trees, and tram rides add to the winter wonderland atmosphere.

For thrill-seekers, the Star Flyer is back. At 260 feet tall, it’s one of Europe’s tallest swing rides and offers breathtaking views over Blackpool’s iconic seafront. For families, there’s a helter-skelter, a 100ft snow slide, and plenty of themed attractions for the little ones.

On New Year’s Eve, the village will be open from noon until 9pm, and the famous Illuminations will stay lit until 1am.
