Rhine in Flames - Medieval Pyrotechnics Mayhem

The fireworks show in the Middle Rhine Valley against the background of fantastic, medieval scenery is a very special event.

Besides the eye-catching fireworks with illuminated ships, burning medieval castles, Bengal town lightning and light-reflection in the flowing waters of the Rhine river, breath-taking acoustics make the visitor tremble when the rolling thunder of firecrackers and their echoes break at the mountainside.

The huge international event "Rhine in flames" exhibits five extraordinary fireworks, with four of them taking place in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage. Each of those events is a great experience of its own.

Night of the Loreley

The city of the Loreley, St. Goarshausen, and its twin St. Goar present the extraordinary fireworks; "Rhine in flames" from the castles Katz and Rheinfels and from a ship in the middle of the Rhine to round off the week-long wine festival in the historic town quarters of St. Goarshausen and St. Goar.
70 ships of the white fleet offer premiere seats on the Rhine.
