RAGLEY HALL FIREWORK CHAMPIONS

WHAT: FIREWORK CHAMPIONS 2016 – RAGLEY HALL
WHEN: SATURDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2016
WHERE: RAGLEY HALL, ALCESTER, WARWICKSHIRE, B49 5NJ
WHY: NATIONAL FIREWORK COMPETITION
COST: £18 ADULTS - £8 CHILDREN
CAMPING: £10 PER NIGHT PER ADULT
GAZEBO: £25

The Hall was built in 1680 by Robert Hooke. It has been in the family since the current 8th Marquess of Hertford’s predecessor purchased the 6500 acre site several hundred years ago. Very much a family home, the Marquess, his wife and four children all live in the Hall which has been open to the public since 1958.

Positioned just east of Stratford-upon-Avon, this is the first time the Firework Champions event will take place here, and as a new venue, there is of course lots of space in which to ensure that the teams can show their pyrotechnic prowess in the skies over Warwickshire.

In the grounds you will have the opportunity to just kick back and take the family along with a huge picnic blanket and take in the sheer beauty of the house and gardens. The fireworks get under way just after 9.15 with a demonstration/tutorial about Category 4 pyrotechnics (professional use ONLY) before the competitors take their places.

The event is the brainchild of MLE Pyrotechnics who will be responsible for the finale show whilst the votes are cast and counted.

The teams competing at Ragley Hall this year are as follows:

9.30 Atom Fireworks – Salford, Manchester

This professional pyro team have over 50 years experience between them and they are delighted to have been invited along to take part. Atom Fireworks are supremely proud that they have a ZERO accident rate and work in close contact with local and community organisations. They are new to the competition so we are really looking forward to seeing some new blood.
