There will be the usual smattering of food and drink concessions but if you are looking for something more than a burger, there is a multitude of restaurants, cafés, and eateries to tempt you. From Michelin two-starred ‘Restaurant Sat Bains’ with 7 & 10 course taster menu’s available to the more discerning visitor (£105 - £120 per person) or a very reasonably priced A la Carte menu with a huge array of dishes available at Tom Brown’s brasserie where everything from the bread to the ice-cream is home-made and fresh.

If you are over in Nottingham for the weekend you really must get along to Sherwood Forest and enjoy some of the activities on offer for all the family. There are special walks and trails to suit all ages and abilities and you can even check out one of the longest residents of the forest – The Major Oak which is thought to be aged somewhere between 800 and 1100 years old and is the biggest in the UK. Whilst you were able to go right up to the tree many years ago, in order to allow the public to keep on appreciating this magnificent oak in the future, it has been cordoned off and secured to the ground to prevent high winds, etc from damaging it.

The Nottingham Riverside Festival has been part of the entertainment calendar for many years now and today attracts around 120,000 visitors.
