Everything You Need to Know About Newbury Summerfest 2025
If you're on the lookout for a summer day out that's bursting at the seams with fun, fizz and a fair few explosions, look no further. Newbury Summerfest – also known as The Big Family Day Out – is back on Saturday 19th July 2025, and it’s shaping up to be its biggest, boldest, and most brilliantly bonkers edition yet.
Whether you're a thrill-seeker, music lover, pyromaniac, or just after an ice cream and a sit down, this day at Newbury Showground has something for every member of the family – and yes, that includes the one who usually says they don’t like “big events”.
Here’s everything you need to know to plan your perfect Summerfest day out.
What to Expect at Newbury Summerfest 2025
Live Music and Main Stage Highlights
Grab your cider and straw hat – The Wurzels are headlining. Yes, the legends of West Country folk-pop are bringing their scrumpy-fuelled energy to the main stage. And that’s just the start. Expect a full day of music from top tribute acts and live performers, all designed to get you dancing like nobody’s watching (even though hundreds probably will be).
Action-Packed Arena Shows
We’re talking full-throttle arena entertainment here. From a campervan with a jet engine (because why not?) to freestyle motocross, daredevil stuntmen, and enough fire and bangs to keep us firework fans grinning all day. There’s even falconry, for a more majestic kind of aerial display, and skydivers parachuting right into the heart of the action.
Fun for Kids – and the Big Kids
Let’s face it – inflatable theme parks aren’t just for little ones. With mega slides, bouncy castles, and a rodeo bull, there’s more than enough to test your agility (and dignity). Throw in a massive fairground, tank rides, helicopter tours, and bungee jumps, and you've got yourself a day that could easily double as a family memory-maker or a full-body workout.
Food, Drink, and a Spot of Shopping
Worked up an appetite? You’re in luck. The World Food and Craft Stalls will have you covered with everything from sizzling street eats to sweet treats. Plus, local artisans will be showcasing their wares, so you can pick up a handmade treasure or two while you’re at it.
Fireworks and Pyrotechnic Finale
As the sun sets and you start thinking about your sofa, don’t go anywhere just yet. The day ends with a dazzling pyrotechnics and colour smoke finale that lights up the sky and rounds things off with a bang – the good kind, the safe kind, the kind we at Epic Fireworks can fully get behind.

Handy Tips for the Day
-
Bring picnic blankets or camping chairs – comfort is key.
-
Layer up and pack a waterproof – British summer is unpredictable.
-
Small beach tents are allowed if you fancy a shady retreat.
-
Dogs are welcome, but only if they’re well-behaved, on leads, and not easily spooked by fireworks. It’s a loud day out, so think carefully before bringing your furry mate.
If you love a good day out with a serious wow factor – the kind of day that leaves the kids asleep in the car before you’ve left the car park – Newbury Summerfest 2025 is calling your name.
Book those tickets, prep your picnic, and prepare for a full-on, laugh-out-loud, firework-filled summer Saturday.
And if you’re as fond of a sky full of sparks as we are – you’re in for a treat.
