Maltese Fireworks Lost at Sea

The Malta International Fireworks Festival, due to be held in Grand Harbour Thursday 30th April and Friday 1st May , has had to be postponed after the ship that is transporting the fireworks of the foreign participants developed a mechanical fault. Three foreign companies were expected to take part in the festival.

Panic set on as the news spread that the competitors fireworks were stranded at sea. However work has already begun on fixing the problem which has caused many locals and tourists to set off their own fireworks whilst they wait, nothing wrong with that.

The Malta Tourism Authority, which organises the festival, said it is doing its utmost to hold the festival on Friday and Saturday.
