Las Fallas 2024 Highlights: A Celebration of Fire and Tradition

Kicking off on the 1st of March, Las Fallas 2024 burst into life with an wide range of events that saw the streets of Valencia come alive with the spirit of festivity and tradition. From the iconic mascletàs to the breathtaking fireworks displays, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

If you've not been to Las Fallas before, it's something every pyro fan needs to add to their bucket list.

The heart of Las Fallas beats to the rhythm of the mascletàs, explosive daytime pyrotechnic shows that reverberate through the city. These displays, held daily in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, drew crowds eager to experience the thunderous sound and spectacle.

But the excitement didn't stop there. Nightfall brought with it a dazzling array of fireworks, lighting up the Valencian sky. From traditional displays to innovative pyrotechnic showcases, each night was a testament to the skill and creativity of the local artists behind the scenes.

As the festival reached its climax on the 19th of March, the streets of Valencia were transformed into an open-air art gallery. The culmination of months of work, the Fallas – elaborate sculptures made of wood, papier-mâché, and other materials – lined the streets, each one a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship of its creators.

But perhaps the most poignant moment of Las Fallas 2024 was the spectacular burning of the Fallas. As midnight struck on the 19th, these towering monuments were set ablaze, lighting up the night sky and marking the end of another unforgettable celebration.
