Harborough Summerfest is rolling into the Market Harborough Showground, and it’s shaping up to be the most action-packed event of the summer.

With gates opening at midday, you’ll want to get in early, grab a programme and brace yourself. This is a full-throttle, multi-sensory, face-full-of-funnel-cake festival that caters to kids, grown-ups, and anyone who likes their weekends loud, lively and just a little bit chaotic.

Monster Trucks, Stunts and Sky-High Thrills

Let’s start with the big stuff – literally. The monster truck arena is bringing the heavyweights. Expect jaw-dropping stunts and pure, petrol-scented chaos from the likes of Big Pete, Grim Reaper and Slingshot. Watch them crush, roar, and launch themselves through the air like it's just another Saturday – and if spectating isn’t enough, there are mini monster trucks you can drive yourself. Yes, really.

The main arena is also packed with heart-stopping demonstrations – freestyle motocross that defies gravity, falconry shows to wow the little ones, stuntmen doing frankly reckless things (don’t try them at home), and more bangs, booms and explosions than a budget action film.

Live Music to Keep the Party Going

Once the smoke clears, it’s time to turn up the volume. The Harborough Summerfest stage will be buzzing all day with a cracking line-up of tribute acts and live performances. That 80’s Rock Show brings the spandex and the singalongs, with tributes to Taylor Swift and Oasis serving up some serious crowd-pleasers.

There’s also a headline act to round off the evening, so whether you’re shaking it off, chanting “Don’t Look Back in Anger” or reliving your youth with a bit of big-hair guitar, there’s something for everyone.

Family Fun from Ground to Sky

Thrill-seekers, this is your playground. Alongside the monster trucks, you’ll find rides to suit every level of bravery. Bungee jumps for the daredevils, mega slides and inflatables for the kids (and let’s be honest, the parents too), and even helicopter tours if you fancy seeing it all from above.

The fairground is massive, with plenty of games, rides and nostalgic fun for all ages. And if you’ve got a competitive streak, that rodeo bull is calling your name.

Food, Crafts and All the Bits You Didn’t Know You Needed

Between all the thrills, you’ll need a breather – and maybe a bite. Luckily, the food court has flavours from around the world, whether you're in the mood for smoky BBQ, spicy street food or a good old-fashioned doughnut tower.

There’ll also be craft stalls from local makers and traders, perfect for picking up something handmade or just having a leisurely mooch while the kids are off bouncing themselves silly.

A Pyrotechnic Finish to Remember

Of course, no festival is complete without a grand finale – and Harborough Summerfest isn’t going out quietly. Expect a colour-smoke and pyrotechnic display to close the night in proper style.
