Fireworks Light Up Cowes Week 2025 at Waverley Park Holiday Centre

Fireworks Light Up Cowes Week 2025 at Waverley Park Holiday Centre

Cowes Week on the Isle of Wight is always a summer highlight — but this year’s celebrations just got even better. Waverley Park Holiday Centre in East Cowes is bringing back its epic fireworks display for Cowes Week 2025, and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.

This explosive spectacle will light up the sky on Friday 8th August 2025 at 9:30pm, rounding off a thrilling week of sailing, entertainment, and seaside fun.

What is Cowes Week?

Cowes Week is one of the biggest and oldest sailing regattas in the world, attracting thousands of sailors and spectators from around the globe, running from 2nd to 8th August 2025.

While world-class yacht racing is the star of the show, Cowes Week is packed with onshore festivities too:

  • Over 40 races per day featuring elite and amateur sailors.

  • Live music, buzzing bars, and vibrant entertainment.

  • Family-friendly activities, fairground rides, and kids' entertainment.

  • A mouth-watering selection of food stalls, local vendors, and pop-up dining spots.

  • Shopping and exhibitions celebrating all things maritime and beyond.

Whether you’re mad about sailing or just looking for a great day out, Cowes Week 2025 has something for everyone — and the fireworks at Waverley Park are set to be the ultimate grand finale.

The Fireworks Display at Waverley Park Holiday Centre

The fireworks at Waverley Park Holiday Centre are back for 2025 — and thanks to public donations (already topping £800, including a generous boost from Island Ales), it’s shaping up to be a serious showstopper.

Date: Friday 8th August 2025
Time: 9:30pm
Location: Waverley Park Holiday Centre, East Cowes

The display is best viewed from the Waverley Park Holiday Centre itself, where the team is putting on a hog roast and BBQ for visitors — and everyone’s welcome! You can also catch a great view from the Cowes seafront, East Cowes Esplanade, or the surrounding bars.

Julian, the park’s owner, is personally funding the display but welcomes any additional contributions to help make it even more spectacular. If you’d like to donate, just give the Waverley a call on 01983 293452.

And if that’s not enough, there’s hope that 2026’s 200th Cowes Week will see the return of the official fireworks — so let’s make 2025 count!
