Fireworks at Bolsover Castle
Last year, English Heritage reintroduced the firework tradition at Bolsover Castle and visitors in their thousands packed the grounds to watch the show. As a result of the popularity of the event, they have decided to do the same again this year.
Tickets are now on sale to the general populace to attend the fireworks display taking part on 3rd November 2012 and they are hoping that this second event will be bigger than ever.
The organisers will bring to life the events and story behind Guy Fawkes through the medium of dance, music, performance and special effects.
Visitors to the event will be able to meet the executioner, hear the gory details of Guy Fawkes torture and execution which will appeal to all the ten year old lads out there! The story of the Gunpowder Plot and how it was foiled will be retold by musicians to popular music and the Jester will entertain the crowds with his school for fools and impressive fire show. Meanwhile, the Riding House will be illuminated with a dramatic fire projection.
Hot food and refreshments is available from a number of concession stands including hot pork sandwiches and mulled wine as well as souvenirs etc from the Castle Gift shop and café.
The main event will be a pyro musical spectacular beginning at 7:00pm with the supporting performances both before and after the display.
