WHY: NATIONAL FIREWORKS COMPETITION

Ragley Hall is a stunning Jacobean stately home venue, home to the 9th Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford. It is the seat of the Seymour family, which includes Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII. Designed by William Hurlbert, modified by Robert Hooke and completed shortly after the death of the aforementioned.

Even if you have never visited this picturesque venue, it is likely you have seen it whilst watching TV! It has been used to film many popular TV shows, including an episode of ‘’Doctor Who’’, and had a big part in ‘’The Crown.’’Ragley Hall hosts many events throughout the calendar year and opens its gates to the public to come and enjoy all it has to offer!

The hall is set in 450 acres of park land, overlooking the rural countryside, and making for a very relaxing environment.

This eclectic venue hosts a plethora of events, ranging all the way from ‘’Classic Ibiza’’ – a dance music celebration, through to Classic Car shows and Air Balloon festivals!

Included in this selection, will be Firework Champions, which will be hosted at Ragley Hall in September this year!

Three teams will be competing for the title of best display, as voted for by you the public! All spectators will be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite display of the night via text message from their mobile phone, adding an interactive element to the evening!

There will also be excellent food and drink options available, picnic space if you choose to bring along your own snacks, pre-show, children’s entertainment and much more!

There will also be disabled access and parking available.

The competing teams:

1: Distant Thunder

Distant Thunder are a fantastic display company who grew from humble beginnings. What started as a hobby turned into a passion and then a business. They were named firework champions in 2019. See their website here.

2: Chase Lane

Established in 2007, Chase Lane began as a fireworks retailer, following on to provide professional displays for weddings, corporate events and bonfire nights etc. With a highly trained and skilled team, they are hoping to put on a show-stopping display. See their website here.

3: Vulcan Fireworks

Vulcan are currently celebrating their 25th anniversary of providing brilliant displays for events. Their style is very unique, and they have a lot of experience with Pyromusical shows, and have worked with talented musicians such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
