Firework Champions 2025: Stanford Hall – An Explosive Night in the Countryside

Firework Champions 2025: Stanford Hall – An Explosive Night in the Countryside

It’s back, it’s loud, and it’s ready to light up the Leicestershire sky once again. Firework Champions at Stanford Hall is returning for another jaw-dropping night of pyrotechnic madness on Saturday 2nd August 2025, bringing together some of the best firework teams in the business for an all-out battle of the bangers.

If you’ve never been before, just know this isn’t your average fireworks display where someone’s dad sets off a rogue rocket in the wrong direction—this is fireworks on another level, and trust us, you don’t want to miss it.

A Proper Fireworks Showdown

Stanford Hall is one of the longest-running venues in the Firework Champions series, and there’s a reason thousands of people flock here every year.

Nestled in the stunning Leicestershire countryside, this historic estate becomes the ultimate battleground for three elite firework companies, all competing for the coveted Firework Champions title.

Each team has just ten minutes to blow your socks off with a professionally choreographed display, packed with precision, colour, and pure pyrotechnic wizardry.

Once the competitors have done their thing, the power shifts to you—the audience. You’ll get to vote for your favourite via text, helping to decide who takes home the bragging rights. And just when you think it’s all over, MLE Pyrotechnics steps in with a spectacular closing display, proving why they’re the masters of firework artistry.

Who’s Battling for the Title in 2025?

The line-up this year is top-tier, with three teams ready to bring their A-game to the Stanford Hall skies.

Team One: Smart Pyrotechnics is first up, and if their past performances are anything to go by, expect meticulous timing, innovative effects, and a soundtrack that hits you right in the feels.

Team Two: Next, Imperial Lotus Southeast takes the stage, a team known for their big, bold, and breathtaking displays that will have you staring up at the sky like a mesmerised kid.

Team Three: Last but not least, Wizard Fireworks will be bringing a touch of magic to the night, blending technical skill with pure spectacle to leave a lasting impression.

When all three have set the night ablaze, MLE Pyrotechnics will bring the evening to a thunderous end with the closing display, ensuring that nobody leaves without having their mind well and truly blown.

Event Timings – What’s Happening and When?

The day kicks off early for those making a weekend of it, with camping gates opening at 1pm on Friday and again at 1pm on Saturday. If you’re just coming for the evening’s main event, you can roll up when the event gates open at 4pm—just make sure you’re inside before final entry at 7:30pm, or you’ll be stuck outside listening to the fireworks instead of watching them.

The evenings entertainment begins with a drone show at 8:45pm, setting the scene before the three competing teams battle it out from 9pm. Once you’ve watched and mentally scored the performances, you’ll have a chance to cast your vote for the winner at 10pm.

The closing display fires up at 10:10pm, the winner is announced at 10:25pm, and the event wraps up at 10:30pm—leaving just enough time to grab a snack and debate whether the right team won on the way home.

Tickets & Pricing – What’s the Damage?

This year’s ticket prices are currently discounted to £30 for adults (17+) and £20 for children (5-16), with under-5s getting in for free. If you want to make things even more comfortable, there are a few optional extras worth considering.

For £42, you can get a Gazebo Permit, allowing you to set up your own sheltered seating in the walk-in arena. If you prefer to watch from your car with minimal effort, the Park & Stay option is £50, giving you a designated viewing space. If you fancy turning it into a weekend getaway, camping is available for £16 per adult per night on both Friday and Saturday.

Getting There – Avoiding the Last-Minute Rush

Stanford Hall is easily accessible by car, located near the M1 motorway, about six miles north of Market Harborough and 20 miles south of Leicester. Pop LE17 6DH into your sat-nav, and you’ll be on your way.

If you’re taking the train, the closest station is Market Harborough, and from there, you can grab a taxi or arrange a shuttle service—it’s about a 15-minute drive. Public transport isn’t the most reliable for this event, so if you’re not driving yourself, sorting a lift in advance is a smart move.

Why You Shouldn’t Miss It

Whether you’re a fireworks fanatic, looking for a spectacular night out with family and friends, or just fancy an excuse to sit under the stars and watch something incredible, Firework Champions at Stanford Hall is the place to be. It’s an experience, with an unbeatable atmosphere, stunning displays, and some of the best pyrotechnic talent in the country battling for your vote.

If you’re going to see one big fireworks event in 2025, make it this one. Book your tickets early, bring a blanket, grab some snacks, and prepare to have your night sky well and truly set on fire.
