Firework Champions 2025: Newby Hall – A Firework Spectacle in Yorkshire

If you think fireworks should be more than just a couple of sparklers and a rogue rocket that barely makes it off the ground, then Newby Hall on Saturday 23rd August 2025 is where you need to be.

This is Firework Champions, where three top-tier pyrotechnic teams go head-to-head, each putting on a perfectly choreographed 10-minute display set to music, using professional-grade fireworks that you won’t find in your local supermarket. It’s big, bold, and brilliantly competitive, with the audience deciding the winner.

Add in a high-tech drone show, food, drinks, and a spectacular closing display from Imperial Lotus SE, and you’ve got a night out that’s well worth looking forward to.

How It Works – Fireworks, But Bigger and Better

Firework Champions at Newby Hall isn’t just another firework display—it’s a full-scale competition, and the best part? You decide the winner.

Three teams will each fire a 10-minute display synchronised to music, using Category 4 fireworks—the kind that are strictly for professional use (translation: they’re massive).

Once all three teams have wowed the crowd, it’s over to you. Vote for your favourite via text, and once the votes are counted, the winner will be announced.

And just when you think it’s all over, Imperial Lotus SE steps in with a huge closing display to round off the night in style.

The 2025 Competitors – Who’s in the Battle?

Team One: Celestial Fireworks – Known for their stunning colour combinations and perfectly timed bursts, Celestial Fireworks deliver shows that are both dramatic and elegant.

Team Two: The Fireworkers – If you like precision, bold effects, and serious impact, The Fireworkers know exactly how to put on a show. Expect a powerful, punchy display.

Team Three: Twilight Fireworks – Masters of atmospheric displays, Twilight Fireworks bring drama, scale, and a few surprises along the way.

Then, to top it all off, Imperial Lotus SE will take over for the closing display—because even after three incredible shows, there’s always room for more fireworks.

Event Timings – What’s Happening and When?

If you’re planning to make a day of it, here’s the full schedule for the night:

Camping gates open at 1:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to get set up if you’re staying overnight. Event gates open at 4:00 PM, and final entry is at 7:30 PM, so don’t cut it fine.

Things kick off at 8:45 PM with a drone show, giving you a taste of high-tech aerial entertainment before the main event.

At 9:00 PM, the competition begins, with all three teams firing their displays back to back. Once they’ve finished, you’ll get to vote for the winner, with the results announced at 10:25 PM.

Before that, though, there’s one last spectacular display from Imperial Lotus SE at 10:10 PM, because you can never have too many fireworks.

By 10:30 PM, it’s all over—but trust us, you’ll still be talking about it the next day.
