Each team will fire a 10-minute display perfectly choreographed to a soundtrack, using category 4 professional-grade fireworks—the biggest and most powerful in the UK. These aren’t the kind you’ll see at a typical bonfire night event; they’re on a whole other level.

As if that wasn’t enough, the night also features a high-tech drone show, children’s entertainment, food and drink stalls, and a grand closing display from Ashdown Fireworks to end the evening in spectacular fashion.

How It Works – A Firework Competition Like No Other

The competition format is simple: three top firework companies will each put on a perfectly timed, music-synced display, designed to impress the crowd.

Once all three teams have fired their displays, it’s your turn to pick the winner. Voting is done via text, so every spectator has the chance to have their say.

Then, to top it all off, once the votes are in, Ashdown Fireworks will take to the skies for a huge closing display, ensuring the night ends on the highest of notes.

The 2025 Competitors – Who’s Battling for Your Vote?

Team One: Phase One Fireworks – Known for their seamless choreography and creative firework sequences, Phase One Fireworks bring a display packed with drama, colour, and precision.

Team Two: Fully Fused Fireworks – Expect huge bursts, incredible timing, and immersive storytelling through fireworks, as Fully Fused Fireworks deliver a show designed to captivate the audience.

Team Three: Frontier Fireworks – Experts in big, bold effects, Frontier Fireworks go all out with towering shells, intricate designs, and jaw-dropping sequences that fill the night sky.

Once the competition is over, Ashdown Fireworks will take the stage for the closing display, guaranteeing a finale to remember.

Event Timings – What’s Happening on the Night?

The gates open at 4:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to arrive, find a great spot, and soak up the atmosphere. Final entry is at 7:30 PM, so make sure you arrive in good time.

At 8:45 PM, the drone show kicks things off, lighting up the sky with a high-tech, immersive display.

At 9:00 PM, the firework competition begins. Each team will fire their 10-minute display, going all out to impress the audience.

After the final team has finished, it’s time to cast your vote. Then, at 10:10 PM, Ashdown Fireworks will take over for an epic closing display, before the winner is announced at 10:25 PM.

By 10:30 PM, the event wraps up—leaving you with memories of an unforgettable night.

Hatfield House is just 21 miles north of London, making it an easily accessible venue for firework fans from all over the region. If you’re driving, use AL9 5AE for your sat-nav. Parking is free, but remember—every passenger in your car needs a ticket.

For those using public transport, Hatfield railway station is a short walk from the venue, with regular trains running from London and beyond.

Tickets are available now, and it pays to book early.

Adult tickets (17+) are £30, and child tickets (5-16) are £20, with under-5s getting in for free.

If you want a bit of extra comfort, you can grab a Gazebo Permit for £42, letting you set up your own sheltered area in the walk-in arena. Park & Stay tickets are £45, giving you a dedicated space to watch the fireworks from your car, which means zero hassle, maximum comfort.
