As 2017 draws to a close thoughts turn to what we have to entertain us through the Summertime in 2018 and what domestic competition will be taking place.

There was an announcement this week of the dates and venues for the fantastic Firework Champions events taking place in the grounds of some of the most treasured historic houses in England.

The professional fireworks team from MLE Pyrotechnics has once again brought together a fabulous list of events which means a weekly dose of the sounds and smells of fireworks to sooth even the most beastly of hearts.

Once again one of the events takes place at Arley Hall which replaced Capesthorne Hall as a new site last year. Arley is home to Lord and Lady Ashbrook and the current building stands on the site of the original family home built in 1469 – the same family has resided there for over 550 years since it was replaced in 1845.

All the venues are classical Hall’s or Castles and represent some of the best that the UK has to offer.

Here are the event dates and venues. The competitors will be announced soon so we will let you know once this information is available:

· 21st JULY 2018 - NEWBY HALL - NORTH YORKSHIRE

· 28TH JULY 2018 - STANFORD HALL - WARWICKSHIRE

· 11TH AUGUST 2018 - BELVOIR CASTLE - LEICESTERSHIRE

· 1ST SEPTEMBER 2018 - RAGLEY HALL - WARWICKSHIRE

· 8TH SEPTEMBER 2018 - EASTNOR CASTLE - HEREFORDSHIRE

· 15TH SEPTEMBER 2018 - ARLEY HALL - CHESHIRE

The competition will be between three teams invited to battle it out with beautiful display’s perfectly choreographed to music with split-second timing. Once they have all fired, the voting will open allowing the audience to choose their winning display. Whilst the voting is cast and counted, the organisers MLE Pyrotechnics will fire the finale display.

Firework Champions events are always a huge draw to people, especially pyro lovers but this also offers the opportunity to hone their pro skills and of course, spend time with family and friends in some of the best settings the UK has to offer. Because it will be the height of summer, daylight will not begin to fade until very late evening so you really can make a full day of it.

There will be concession stands selling some food and beverages but you are welcome to bring along your own food.
