Festival of Fireworks 2025 at Catton Hall – The UK’s Biggest Bang Is Back

Festival of Fireworks 2025 at Catton Hall – The UK’s Biggest Bang Is Back

The UK’s loudest, brightest and most choreographed firework night returns this September – and it’s ready to blow your socks clean off your ankles.

Forget your village bonfire and those soggy sparklers – this is the Festival of Fireworks 2025, and it’s a whole different beast. Taking over the stunning Catton Hall estate in Walton-on-Trent on Saturday 6th September, this sky-splitting spectacle is a dream night out for families, firework fanatics, and anyone who thinks “just one Catherine wheel” is never enough.

With a line-up of professional display teams, a non-competitive format that lets them go wild, and an upgraded food offering that’s gone full gourmet (hello, Digbeth Dining Club!), this is no ordinary firework night. It’s the big one.

When and Where: Catton Hall Is the Place to Be

The big date is Saturday 6th September 2025.
The big location? Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, DE12 8LN.

Gates swing open from 2pm, giving you plenty of time to roll out a blanket, grab a bite (or three), and soak up the atmosphere before the first rocket screams into the sky at around 8:30pm.

Parking’s free and close to the action, and there’s dedicated accessible parking near the entrance if you need it – just contact the organisers in advance.

What Makes the Festival of Fireworks So Special?

This isn’t a “best bang wins” competition. It’s a chance for four of the UK’s finest display teams to go fully unhinged with their creativity, without restrictions, judging or boring rules.

The Festival began in 1999 at Shugborough Hall and moved to Catton Hall in 2008 – where it’s grown into the largest public firework event in the UK. It’s organised by Jubilee Fireworks, who know a thing or two about world-class pyro (they’ve only been doing it for over 30 years).

In short: these displays are designed purely to impress. Each team brings their own flavour, their own music, and their own jaw-dropping ideas.

2025 Line-up: The Teams Taking Over the Sky

This year’s invited pyro-powerhouses are:

  • Star Fireworks – Known for big visuals and slick musical timing

  • Dynamic Fireworks – High-energy, creatively choreographed mayhem

  • Fully Fused Fireworks – Expect drama, pace, and sky-filling moments

  • Jubilee Fireworks – The hosts, and always a showstopping finale

Running order and exact firing times are usually confirmed closer to the date, but expect fireworks to kick off at around 8:30pm and run in half-hour intervals until about 10pm. Bring a blanket, a chair, and possibly a neck brace for all the looking up you’ll be doing.

New for 2025: Top-Tier Street Food by Digbeth Dining Club

Wave goodbye to limp sarnies and camping stoves – Digbeth Dining Club is rolling in to serve up some of the UK’s best independent food traders, dishing out affordable bites from around the world. Street food royalty, basically.

There’ll also be drinks for all ages (British Bus Bar included), plus hot and cold refreshments running from 2pm until the grand finale.

You won’t go hungry – or thirsty.

Entertainment Beyond the Fireworks

It’s not all bangs and burgers (although that’s a solid combo). From 2pm, there’ll be fairground rides and stalls for all ages, making this a full-day festival, not just an evening out.

Local Stays and Practical Bits

Travelling in? There are loads of B&Bs and hotels in Walton-on-Trent and nearby. Make a weekend of it and explore the estate while you’re there – though note that access to Catton Hall and the wider park may require separate tickets.

The whole event is outdoors, so keep an eye on the weather. Bring layers, something waterproof just in case, and a camping chair or blanket to make yourself comfy.
