The procession wound through Constitution Avenue, showcasing everything from Revolutionary War uniforms to modern Abrams tanks and airborne helicopters—Black Hawks, Apaches, Chinooks.  As well as WWII bombers, P-51s, Huey helicopters, modern Chinooks, and even robotic dogs and small drones.

The celebrations kicked off bright and early with an Army Fitness Competition on the National Mall. Then it was on to midday attractions—veteran meet-and-greets, military equipment exhibits and more.

A Dramatic Grand Finale: Fireworks Over the Tidal Basin

With storms lurking, the evening moved up slightly with the parade starting 30 minutes early, meaning the fireworks got underway just after sunset at the Tidal Basin, wrapping up around 9:45 PM.

Choreographed bursts, thundering booms, and patriotic flair set the Mall ablaze.
