What's On at The Proms?
The Lichfield Proms isn’t just about the music; it’s a full evening of entertainment with various rides for the kids to have fun on, meaning they can have as much fun as the adults.
The music kicks off with a performance by the City of Lichfield Concert Band, a community wind band featuring 45 musicians of all ages. They will play a mix of popular classical pieces, medleys, jazz, film scores, and pop.
Following them, the British Police Symphony Orchestra will treat the audience to a specially arranged selection, culminating in stirring Proms classics like Elgar’s "Pomp & Circumstance."
Then the night will end with a bang, literally, as a the dazzling fireworks finale lights up the sky.
The event timings are:
- 5pm: Car parking opens
- 5:30pm onwards: Catering and children’s activities
- 6pm to 9:45pm: An evening of music, ending with the spectacular fireworks finale
