What's On at Newbury Summerfest 2024?

Arena Demonstrations and Displays

Prepare to be amazed by the dynamic performances and displays scheduled throughout the day. The Slingshot Monster Truck Display is set to thrill audiences with its powerful stunts and gravity-defying tricks. Equally exciting is the Bold Dog FMX Team, whose freestyle motocross stunts are guaranteed to leave you breathless. For those who enjoy aerial spectacles, the Jump Dogs Parachute Display Team will be showcasing their precision and bravery as they descend from the skies.

Music and Entertainment

Music lovers are in for a treat with an impressive lineup of acts. Gareth Gates will headline the event with his chart-topping hits. Fans of Ed Sheeran will enjoy The Ed Sheeran Experience, a tribute act that captures the essence of the singer-songwriter’s performances. Additionally, the sounds of Oasis will be brought to life by Noasis, and Ska Wars will have you dancing with their energetic ska tunes. Adding to the musical mix, Hannah Jackson and the Burning Aces will bring their unique flair to the stage.

Activities and Fun for All Ages

Summerfest is designed to be a fun-filled day for the whole family. Children and adults alike can enjoy a variety of included activities. The falconry display offers a chance to see magnificent birds of prey up close, while the Van Buren Magic Show promises to entertain with astonishing tricks and illusions. Little ones will love riding on Lennie the Land Train, and those with a penchant for performing can join the circus workshop to learn some new skills. The event also features garden games and parkour action for those looking to stay active.

Fireworks and Pyrotechnics

As the sun sets, prepare for a magical fireworks finale set to music. This spectacular display will create the perfect end to an amazing day. Additionally, there will be colour smoke firework displays during the day.

Additional Attractions

For those looking to add even more excitement to their day, there are several attractions available at an additional cost. Hot air balloon rides, weather permitting, provide a unique vantage point over the showground. Thrill-seekers can enjoy helicopter pleasure flights and monster truck rides. The Time 2 Bounce Inflatable Park and a variety of fairground rides and side stalls offer even more fun, and craft stalls, face painting, and glitter tattoos mean there'll be no shortage of things to do.

Food and Drink

You're welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy at the event, or you can explore the variety of food and drink options available on-site. The new Artisan Food Village & Picnic Area and street food vendors will be offering a range of delicious food and drinks options. For those looking to cool off, ice cream vans and a selection of bars will be available throughout the showground.

Event Timings

The gates open at 11:30am for parking and fairground access, with entertainment starting at 12:00pm.

The event runs until 10:00pm, concluding with the spectacular fireworks display.

Arriving early is recommended to make the most of the day’s activities and secure a good spot for the evening’s entertainment.

What Can I Bring With Me?

The organisers encourage you to bring picnic blankets or chairs to stay comfortable. You can also bring a small beach tent for shade. It’s advisable to dress in layers and bring a waterproof jacket to be prepared for any changes in the weather.

Dogs are also welcome at Summerfest but must be well-behaved, kept on a lead, and cleaned up after. Given the fact that there will be firework displays, loud music and crowds do think carefully about whether you want to bring your four-legged family members to Newbury Summerfest.
