Dubai World Cup 2014 Fireworks
Awesome fireworks for horse racing’s Dubai World Cup 2014.
In 1996, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum along with the Emirates racing authority staged the very first Dubai world cup horse race for 3 & 4-Year-old thoroughbreds.
Today the race boasts a winner's purse of $10,000,000 making it the biggest and most valuable horse race in the world.
Ran over 2,000 meters (around 10 furlongs) this flat race is a very special test for all the horses involved, the horses have not just the high temperatures and humidity to contend with but also an all-weather track known as Tapeta.
We do hope that the fireworks display after the race was well away from some of the most valuable bloodstock in the world.
If you are having a fireworks party and are aware of horses nearby we would ask that you offer a little common courtesy and let them know so that steps can be made to ensure that the animals are as comfortable as possible.
