DIWALI ON THE SQUARE & OTHER DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Organised as a free event by the Mayor of London, this festival which takes place in Trafalgar Square is sure to be a hit!

Taking place from 1pm-7pm on Sunday 9th October, the event will host dancers of all different cultures, music, live performances, and a marketplace full of delicious vegan and vegetarian cuisine.

There will also be exciting interactive events, such as dance workshops, yoga classes, meditation sessions and many more.

Best of all, this event is totally free to attend! (Although, we would certainly advise bringing spending money!)

Leicester will also be holding a Diwali Day celebration on 24th October 2022 from 3pm, with a full Diwali village, along with on-stage entertainment from 6pm onwards!

Featured here will also be a 110-foot Ferris wheel, dubbed ‘The Wheel of Light.’

This event will take place on Cossington Street & Belgrave Street, Leicester.



Leicester has a reputation for having one of the largest Diwali celebrations outside of India!

Bradford is holding a Diwali Celebration too!

At Bradford Bulls’ Odsall Stadium, a celebratory show will take place, consisting of Bollywood Dance, Entertainment, Music, Fashion show and even a firework show!

No matter whether you are celebrating Diwali in a city this year, or at home with friends and family, fireworks make a huge impact! Remember, this is the Festival of Light after all!
