Design A Firework Poster Competition

The residents of Warwickshire have come up with a unique way of encouraging fireworks safety by launching a competition which is looking at fireworks safety for this Bonfire Night celebrations.

The competition is being run by Warwickshire County Council’s Trading Standards officials who want to bring home the message that fireworks are truly wonderful if they are used safely.

Aimed at children in a number of different age groups:

  • Reception class – poster
  • Years 1 and 2 - poster and poem or rhyme
  • Years 3 to 6 – poster and poem or rhyme

So, if you live in the Warwickshire area, get involved - it is a fabulous way of highlighting the dangers of fireworks if handled inappropriately and actively encourages children to be more self-aware. The closing date is 31 October 2012.
