Costessey Fete and Fayre: Everything You Need To Know

Nestled in the heart of Norfolk lies the quaint town of Costessey, home of the Costessey Fete and Fayre.

Since its inception in 2014, the event has grow from a modest gathering to a huge two day spectacle, making it a highlight on the local calendar.

Despite its success, the event faced challenges, leading to it being cancelled and relocating. The decision to relocate from Longwater Lane Park to the Norfolk Showground was prompted by various factors, including the event's growth and the need for more space, as well as it becoming too big of an event for the local council to manage.

But that wasn't going to stop the organisers and they have another great event lined up for 2024. Here's everything you need to know.

What to Expect at Costessey Fete and Fayre

Costessey Fete and Fayre will be jam-packed with exciting things to see and do, not matter what you're into.

if you're a thrill-seeker there's a fun fair for you to get your adrenaline fix with rides for both adults and children.

If you love a bit of retail therapy, there will be over 100 stalls for you to browse.

Into your food and drink? There will be a wide range of local food vendors as well as a licenced bar to satisfy your cravings.

There will also be live music across the weekend for you to groove along to and face painting and crafts for the kids.

And as always, there will be a huge fireworks display for all you pyro fans out there.

Venue, Tickets & Parking

Costessey Fete and Fayre will take place at the spacious and easily accessible Norfolk Showground, located at Dereham Road, Norfolk, NR5 OTT.

Tickets are £2 per person, with free entry for children under 5. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance on the day of the event.

Free parking is available on-site, attendees are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation where possible to minimise traffic congestion and reduce environmental impact.

Getting There

By Car
Postcode for Sat Nav: NR5 0TP.
From the North and West – easily situated just off the A47 Norwich Southern Bypass at the A1074 Longwater Interchange.
From the South and East – Travelling to Norwich via the A11 from London any beyond or A140 from Ipswich, take the A47 westbound and follow the signs for Norfolk Showground.

By Train
The nearest Railway Station is Norwich, located approximately 7 miles from the Showground.

By Bus
The following bus services stop directly outside the Showground: Konectbus Service Number 4 and First Eastern Counties Excel Buses.
