
Competitors Revealed for the 2025 British Firework Championships
Firework fans, it’s that time again! The British Firework Championships are back, and this year’s event is shaping up to be an absolute belter. Six top-tier firework companies from across the UK will battle it out over two nights, putting on displays that’ll light up the Plymouth sky and leave thousands of spectators staring upwards in awe.
For over 25 years, this event has been a highlight of the summer in Plymouth, pulling in over 100,000 people to watch the action from the Hoe, boats, and various vantage points around the Sound. If you love fireworks, this is the place to be.

Who’s Competing at the 2025 British Firework Championships?
Night One – Wednesday, 13 August 2025
🔥 Sonic Fireworks (Devon) – A local favourite with a reputation for precision and powerful displays. Expect bold colours and some seriously impressive effects.
🔥 Skyburst The Firework Co. (Bristol) – Back to defend their 2023 championship title, these guys know exactly how to put on a show that’ll get the crowd talking.
🔥 BBB Fireworks (East Sussex) – Known for their creative choreography, BBB Fireworks always deliver something unexpected and unforgettable.
Night Two – Thursday, 14 August 2025
🔥 Selstar Fireworks (West Sussex) – A name that’s synonymous with quality, Selstar Fireworks will be pulling out all the stops to take home the crown.
🔥 Fully Fused Fireworks (Bedfordshire) – If you want big bursts, dramatic effects, and a grand finale that’ll shake the ground, Fully Fused have you covered.
🔥 1st Galaxy Fireworks (Nottingham) – With decades of experience, these firework wizards know how to blend artistry with sheer firepower.
Each company will be putting on a 10-minute display, choreographed to perfection, in a bid to impress the spectators and claim the title of Champion of Champions.
Where to Watch
The fireworks will be fired from Mountbatten Breakwater, which means you’ve got plenty of great viewing spots. Whether you’re watching from Plymouth Hoe, out at sea on a boat, or one of the many perfect spots around Plymouth Sound, you’re guaranteed a front-row seat to some of the best fireworks in the country.
