The fourth event of its kind during the Summer 2015 in the Midlands and North of England, this one takes place on 22nd August in the grounds of the stunning Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire.
One of a series of firework competitions which are the brainchild of pyro gods and organisers MLE Pyrotechnics to show the people of the UK the level of professional fireworks operating on a day-to-day basis, and to let those who have never experienced anything more than a few whizzing and popping garden fireworks in the past just what can be achieved.

Capesthorne Hall is a Grade II listed building built in the early 18th century which has had bits added and others removed over the ensuing years and today it stands gracefully in 100 acres of parkland. Owned and occupied by the Bromley-Davenport’s since 1748 it is open to the public from March to October and all year around for weddings and corporate events.
Capesthorne 2015 - The Teams (draw video) from Firework Champions.
Competing teams are as follows:
SPYROTECHNICS – CHESTERFIELD – 9:30PM
This professional pyrotechnic firm was established in 2004 with a simple ethos to bring the very best professional firework displays possible to the stage.
They were previous competitors at Belvoir Castle’s Firework Champions event in 2009, at Stanford Hall in 2011 and again at Eastnor Castle in 2013.
Having checked out some of their previous competition footage, they are consistently good so we will have to see what is on offer. Lovers of all things rock judging by most of their music selection, this will be a ‘sing-along-a-firework’ display to classics from the likes of Bon Jovi and Journey.
Best of luck and we are really looking forward to seeing what these lads can bring to the competition this time around.
SKYDAZZLE FIREWORKS – NEWPORT – 9:45PM
Skydazzle Fireworks have been 20 years in the firework industry and continue to widen their horizons and gain valuable experience along the way. They are first time competitors at any of the Firework Champions events so a bit of an unknown quantity on this type of stage but having checked out the video footage available around the web, these boys have ‘skills’ and I for one, like the unknown quantity position they find themselves in.
OPTIMUM FIREWORKS – WEST YORKSHIRE – 10:00PM
Optimum Fireworks is the brainchild of Phil and Rebecca Cooper who have been in the business since 1996 and eventually took the leap and set up on their own in 2009 and have never looked back.
As a relatively new company, they were delighted to win at their first ever entry at last years Fireworks Champions event at Broughton Hall. It was a really pretty and well paced show and the red and gold section at the beginning was breathtaking. Beautiful effects and a good sky full of pyro with some great musical choreography. Midway through there were some stunning shell bursts with a double break that were gorgeous.
In the past they have fired weddings, corporate and local authority events and they have worked with the Halle Orchestra and even JK from Jamiroquai for his birthday bash. We wish them the very best of luck.
Once they have finished with all the displays and demonstrations, the spectators will have the chance to vote for their favorite via SMS between 10:00 and 10:15 and whilst the voting is checked, event organisers MLE will have the chance to show their wares in a non competitive display which will showcase some of the best pyro this side of the pond.
It is a great evening out for all the family and with a campsite in the grounds of the Hall, you could make a weekend of it.
