Brisbane Sunsuper Riverfire 2015
WHAT: SUNSUPER RIVERFIRE 2015
WHERE: BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA
WHEN: 26th SEPTEMBER 2015
WHY: IT'S PART OF THE BRISBANE FESTIVAL OF ARTS
Saturday 26th September will mark the end of the Brisbane Festival 2015, which this year begins on 5th September culminating in a MASSIVE FIREWORKS DISPLAY.
Over the three weeks running up the fireworks, the festival features comedy, theatre, music and dance performances from national and international representatives alongside circus skills, fire eaters and all manner of fringe performers.
Visitors on the Saturday night are encouraged to bring along their own food and drink to the event but there will also be a wide range of food and beverage concessions available.
For the last couple of years the spectators have been treated to some aerobatics from the ADF (Australian Defence Force) offering flyovers from the Super Hornets and Helicopters for the entertainment of the crowds from around 3.30pm onwards.
The display is another example of the efforts of the brilliant Foti Fireworks. The company was established over 200 years ago and has consistently been run by several generations of Foti which is now under the control of Salvatore and Fortuna Foti and their family.
Foti have been in control of all the pyrotechnics and special effects for Riverfire at the Brisbane Festival since 2005 and they have continued to amaze and astonish ever since. Riverfire is the second largest fireworks event produced in Australia annually and it is known to be one of the most technically challenging set ups in the industry as it is fired from several barges, multiple bridges and rooftops around Brisbane.
