Boy Band Fireworks, music video
There is a fantastic boy band (although I use the term ‘boy’ loosely as none of the members is going to see 25 again) are one of the country’s biggest selling and the most popular band of its kind in Japan.
With ages ranging from 27 years to 43, these are not boys but grown men with a massive diversity of talent. Their music incorporates everything from Pop to R&B and dance and house music and they have toured all over Japan and are in the midst of a stadium tour which will no doubt add to their fan base even further.
They have won every accolade going ranging from best video to best choreography, netting the lads 45 awards including Album of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. They have sold over 20 million albums in Japan alone.
The band was founded in 2001 and have since taken every accolade there is to be had. They have put out a staggering 18 albums, most of which went multi-platinum and 40 singles selling anything from 100,000 to 500,000 copies countrywide.
This video is beautiful as the story unfolds a little girl opens up her book and goes on a magical carpet ride through the forest and she comes face to face with fire and water represented by dancers. The dancing continues and the two sides ‘battle’ as members of the band sing and dance cleverly manipulating fire and water which has been CGI’d around them. There is little wonder that this video has almost 2 million hits.
