BLACKPOOL FIREWORKS COMPETITION

WHAT: World Fireworks Championship Blackpool
WHY: Gathering some of the worlds most talented pyrotechnicians for a brilliant competition!
WHERE: Tower Festival Headland, Promenade, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY1 4BJ
WHEN: September 17th, October 1st, October 15th, October 28th
COST: FREE!

Perfectly synchronized with the famous Blackpool Illuminations, and beautifully choreographed to music, the World Fireworks Championships returns to Blackpool this Autumn!

Set over four separate dates during September & October, these displays will be completely FREE to the public!

Blackpool Firework Display September 2017

The shows will take place at Blackpool’s North Pier, in front of the Blackpool Tower, this providing staggering urban views amongst the pyrotechnics.

Crowds will begin to arrive at around 7:30pm, in preparation for the display beginning at around 8:30pm on all four of the above dates.

The contestants will be as follows:

Saturday 17th September – Fireworks Factory - Finland
These industry veterans from Finland have been putting on shows all around the world for the last 20 years. In their home country, they have helped to light up the Olympic Stadium!

Saturday 1st October – Caribe Fire FX Barbados
Representing this beautiful Caribbean Island, this group are known for stunning wedding and beach displays and have put on displays in many different countries.

Saturday 15th October – Celtic Fireworks – Wales
Founded in February 2004, Celtic are one of the biggest importers of UK fireworks and has helped with displays for many international events.

Saturday 28th October – Titanium Fireworks – England
Titanium Fireworks are one of the largest fireworks display operators in the UK, responsible for major events such as London New Year's Eve, Tower Bridge and Wembley Stadium.

These shows are sure to be a hit with many people from across the UK, especially as it is a free event! Be sure to arrive within plenty of time to whichever evening you choose to attend!

There will be plenty to do in addition to the fireworks, as Blackpool is packed with shops, food stalls & restaurants to try out.

Public transport is readily available, and we recommend parking in the Southern Car Parks, and using the tram service to get to the North Pier.

As always, wrap up warm, as it is bound to get a little bit chilly by the UK coast this time of year!
