Big Splash Fireworks at Brighton Marina

What: The Big Splash / Brighton festival fireworks
Where: Brighton Marina
When: 23 May 2010
What time: TBC
Best viewing spots: along the waterfront

The Big Splash is the big finale to the Brighton Festival and takes place at Brighton Marina. This is the culmination of 3 weeks of events and is promised to be even more spectacular than last year’s success.

The Big Splash this year consists of whole days worth of free entertainment on the streets around the Marina with street performers and get-involved activities and workshops for the kids. This year one of the highlights will be the Urban Playground and Gravity Style parkour teams. Parkour is the art of movement (you must have seen those guys jumping across buildings and doing handstands on walls?) very funky stuff. There will also be an abundance of jugglers, face painters, street artists and acrobatics.

The day’s entertainment and festivities will draw to a close with a spectacular fireworks display that will light up the skies over the Marina. Get there early to get a good view as always at these big events the best spots will go early. The best places to see the fireworks will be along the waterfront and near to the popular Karma Bar.
