Fast Firing #EpicFireworks

Bilston’s bonfire and fireworks display will be held this year, Wolverhampton City Council has confirmed.

Mark Blackstock, Civic Halls and Outdoor Events Manager, said: “Preparations are underway for the Bilston bonfire and fireworks display on Friday, November 5, 2010.

“The event is always popular with the local community, and I’m sure this year will be the same.

“The only thing we’re missing is a bonfire, so if anyone has any wooden pallets they’d like to donate, please get in touch with the Outdoor Events team by calling us on 01902 552099.”

The firework event will be staged at Hickman Park. Gates will open at 5.30pm, the children’s fireworks display begins at 6.30pm and the bonfire will be lit at 7pm. The main firework display starts at 8pm, and both firework displays will be accompanied by music.

Ticket prices start at £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children, they are available on the gate or in advance at Midland Box Office, based in Queen Square, on 0870 320 7000 or in person
