2024 Ipswich Fireworks Festival: A Bonfire Night Bash You Won't Want to Miss!

Get ready, folks! The Ipswich Fireworks Festival is back, and it’s shaping up to be a real cracker of an event.

Taking place on Saturday, 2nd November 2024 at Trinity Park, Ipswich, this is one night you won't want to miss. With a live concert, a roaring bonfire, food galore, and, of course, a spectacular fireworks display, there’s plenty to keep you entertained.

What’s On: From Peter Andre to Pyrotechnics

Gates swing open at 3:30pm, so make sure to arrive early to soak up all the fun. You can kick off your evening by grabbing a pint at the bar, then warm yourself by the massive bonfire or head over to the funzone if you're bringing the little ones. Live entertainment kicks off at 4:00pm, featuring a great line-up including none other than Peter Andre himself belting out classics like "Mysterious Girl" – a proper blast from the past!

There’s also live music from the likes of Maddox Jones, Soap Your Auntie, and Phoebe Austin, plus a performance from the Stars Dance Group. All of this will be hosted by Wayne Bavin from BBC Radio Suffolk, so you know it’s going to be a lively affair.

The Grand Finale: Fireworks

Of course, the big highlight of the evening is the fireworks display. Scheduled to start at 8:00pm, this pyrotechnic show promises to light up the skies over Ipswich in a dazzling display that’s sure to impress.

Whether you’re a fan of the big bangs, the bright colours, or just the good old-fashioned “oohs” and “aahs,” this display will have it all.

What’s on the Menu?

Feeling peckish? You’re sorted. The Street Food Market Place will have loads of options – from hot meals to sweet treats, perfect for a family feast or just a quick snack. And for the grown-ups, there’s a fully stocked licensed bar to keep you refreshed throughout the night.

Getting There: Parking and Access

No need to worry about finding a parking spot – there’s FREE on-site parking just a 2-minute walk from the main arena. Follow the signs for Trinity Park, and once you’re close, the staff will be there to direct you.

If you’re planning to drive, use the main gate, and you’ll be parked up in no time. There’s also Blue Badge Parking available, but remember, spaces are first-come, first-served, so it’s worth booking early to guarantee a spot.

Trinity Park, known by many as The Suffolk Showground, is dead easy to get to. Just hop on the A12/A14, head for Ipswich Town Centre, or grab a train if you're feeling eco-friendly. Once you arrive, you’ll find 300 acres of space with an enclosed arena – perfect for a night of fireworks and festivities.

Tickets: Book Early and Save!

Tickets are a steal at £15 for adults and £5 for kids (aged 5-17) if you get in early. Under 5s? They get in for free!

But don’t leave it too late – prices will go up on the door, and you don’t want to be that bloke stuck in the queue.

If you fancy a guaranteed spot, book your tickets in advance – they’re available until Friday, 3rd November.

Wrap Up Warm and Bring the Family

This is a family-friendly event with something for everyone. Remember, the fireworks can get a bit loud, so if you’re bringing young kids, it might be worth packing some ear defenders.

Whether you’re coming for the music, the bonfire, the food, or just to see Peter Andre belt out a few classics, make sure you head down to the Ipswich Fireworks Festival. It promises to be a night to remember!
