2015 marks the return of the Danang International Fireworks Competition for five nights of firework mayhem in the skies over the City of Da Nang in beautiful Vietnam. The setting is the bridge over the Han River and it has been the host of one of the biggest international Fireworks Competition in the event calendar.

The event was first held in 2008 and costs an incredible $1.7 million to put on the show for 5 nights between the 29th April and 3rd May in 2015.

This year, competitors will be able to fire from the specially created launch platform in the middle of the Han River and they will also have a bigger launch bed on the banks of the river.

Over the 5 nights, three of the nights will be the traditional fireworks displays and then 2 nights of aquatic/musical fireworks.

Billed as the Cannes of firework festivals, Da Nang has quite rightly gained the reputation of being amongst the best in regards to the talent on show over the whole festival. Offering state of the art technology and beautiful standard and of course aquatic pyrotechnics all choreographed to music during a 20 minute show. They will be judged on the effects, timing of the shots, any dark sky moments and of course choreography.

Vietnam declared independence from France year after end of the 2nd World War when Ho Chi Minh, Communist leader, took back control of the Country and renamed it The Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

2015 marks the 70th anniversary and Pyrostar International of Australia have been given the opportunity of firing from sites on helicopters and the Dragon Bridge which spans the Han River. The Bridge is a truly beautiful and enchanting sight which was designed in the shape of a dragon which breathes fire nightly at 9pm.

We will of course bring you all the news of the competing team as soon as the information comes available.
