The beautiful seaside town of Blackpool plays host once again for the World Firework Championships and best of all it’s FREE!!

This little coastal town has been the host of the event for many years and the support for it grows year on year. Being a British ‘seaside’, there are naturally lots to see and do out and about.

The annual firework event, organised by Visit Blackpool (the official tourism department at Blackpool Council) will be FREE to the public but there will be various food stands dotted across the promenade where you can make purchases, like hot drinks to warm your cockles on the cold evening or light up toys for the kids.

Listed below are the firing dates and the teams taking part:

Saturday 17th September - Fireworks Factory from Finland
Saturday 1st October - Caribe Fire FX from the Caribbean Island of Barbados
Saturday 15th October - Celtic Fireworks from Wales
NEW DATE: Friday 28th October - Finale by Titanium Fireworks

Last year Germany was crowned the chapions, who beat off stiff competition from team Russia and team Ireland. We look forward to seeing videos of this fabulous event and finding out who the winner will be for 2022.
