NYE CELEBRATIONS AROUND THE WORLD!

As we have already covered the fantastic show put on by London this New Year’s Eve, it would be a shame not to look at some of the other fabulous shows put on across the globe…

Auckland, New Zealand:
Time difference: 13 hours ahead of UK

This beautiful city welcomed in the New Year a staggering 13 hours before we did! The 328m high Sky Tower was used as a central point of the display.

Sydney, Australia:
Time difference: 11 hours ahead of UK

Fireworks were held in Sydney, by the harbour bridge, with a stunning backdrop of the Sydney Opera House.

Seoul, South Korea:
Time difference: 9 hours ahead of UK

Much, much more impressive and moving than London’s previous drone focused shows, Seoul absolutely smashed it with this one.

Marina Bay, Singapore:
Time Difference: 8 hours ahead of UK

With a combination of drone lights and pyro, Marina Bay put on a fantastic display for locals and tourists, with pop-culture references and gorgeous shells.

Edmonton, Canada:
Time difference: 7 hours behind UK

A stunning show put on in Edmonton, the capital of Alberta, Canada.

Bangkok, Thailand:
Time Difference: 7 hours ahead of UK

Thailand beautifully celebrated this NYE with 500 shots of pyro filling the night sky above the Chao Phraya River and close to Wat Arun, Temple of Dawn.

Dubai, UAE:
Time difference: 4 hours ahead of UK

Once again, Dubai dazzled its people with an outstanding display held at the Burj Khalifa.

Athens, Greece:
Time Difference: 2 hours ahead of UK

The sky was lit up over the ruins of the Parthenon on the Acropolis on NYE.
Huge gold busts filled the air and helped to get 2023 off to a great start.

Paris, France:
Time difference: 1 hour ahead of UK

It is estimated that just over one million people gathered on the Champs Elysees on New Years Eve to view the fireworks above the Arc De Triomphe.

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil:
Time difference: 3 hours behind UK

A fantastic NYE show was done on Copacabana Beach in Rio, followed by what was probably one of the best parties ever.

Seattle, Washington:
Time difference: 8 hours behind UK

The stunning Space Needle was used to launch this colourful display in Seattle.

Honolulu, Hawaii:
Time difference: 10 hours behind UK

Although there may not have been an official display in Honolulu, the people did not disappoint, see here a POV from a bystander in the city this New Year’s Eve!
