There was an announcement this week of the dates and venues for the fantastic Firework Champions events taking place in the grounds of some of the most treasured historic houses in England.

The professional fireworks team from MLE Pyrotechnics has once again brought together a fabulous list of events which means a weekly dose of the sounds and smells of fireworks to sooth even the most beastly of hearts.

Once again one of the events takes place at Arley Hall which replaced Capesthorne Hall as a new site last year. Arley is home to Lord and Lady Ashbrook and the current building stands on the site of the original family home built in 1469 – the same family has resided there for over 550 years since it was replaced in 1845.

All the venues are classical Hall’s or Castles and represent some of the best that the UK has to offer.

Here are the event dates and venues. The competitors will be announced soon so we will let you know once this information is available:

· 21st JULY 2018 – NEWBY HALL – NORTH YORKSHIRE

Once they have all fired, the voting will open allowing the audience to choose their winning display. Whilst the voting is cast and counted, the organisers MLE Pyrotechnics will fire the finale display.

Firework Champions events are always a huge draw to people, especially pyro lovers but this also offers the opportunity to hone their pro skills and of course, spend time with family and friends in some of the best settings the UK has to offer. Because it will be the height of summer, daylight will not begin to fade until very late evening so you really can make a full day of it.

There will be concession stands selling some food and beverages but you are welcome to bring along your own food.

RAGLEY HALL FIREWORK CHAMPIONS

WHAT: FIREWORK CHAMPIONS 2016 – RAGLEY HALL

WHERE: RAGLEY HALL, ALCESTER, WARWICKSHIRE, B49 5NJ
WHY: NATIONAL FIREWORK COMPETITION
COST: £18 ADULTS – £8 CHILDREN
CAMPING: £10 PER NIGHT PER ADULT

The Hall was built in 1680 by Robert Hooke. It has been in the family since the current 8th Marquess of Hertford’s predecessor purchased the 6500 acre site several hundred years ago. Very much a family home, the Marquess, his wife and four children all live in the Hall which has been open to the public since 1958
Positioned just east of Stratford-upon-Avon, this is the first time the Firework Champions event will take place here, and as a new venue, there is of course lots of space in which to ensure that the teams can show their pyrotechnic prowess in the skies over Warwickshire.

In the grounds you will have the opportunity to just kick back and take the family along with a huge picnic blanket and take in the sheer beauty of the house and gardens. The fireworks get under way just after 9.15 with a demonstration/tutorial about Category 4 pyrotechnics (professional use ONLY) before the competitors take their places.

The event is the brainchild of MLE Pyrotechnics who will be responsible for the finale show whilst the votes are cast and counted.

The teams competing at Ragley Hall this year are as follows:

9.30 Atom Fireworks – Salford, Manchester

This professional pyro team have over 50 years experience between them and they are delighted to have been invited along to take part. Atom Fireworks are supremely proud that they have a ZERO accident rate and work in close contact with local and community organisations.
