The teams fight it out during this two day international competition and the teams have to show their creativity, synchronicity and professionalism with a wide selection of colour and effect.

There are certain obligatory sections in the competition which all of the teams have to comply with. The first prerequisite is a 1 minute section without any musical accompaniment highlighting a single colour. This year, this will be BLUE-GREEN.

The second condition imposed is a four minute section choreographed to a set piece of music. This gives a good impression of the team’s capabilities.

Finally, it is then time for the freestyle section allowing them around 10-minutes of display closely choreographed to a 10 minute musical piece of their choosing. This really highlights the creativity of the teams.

The Jury, who will decide the overall winner is comprised of experts in the field of pyrotechnics and celebrities.

Last years winning team, representing Mexico, was Martarello Ramos Pirotecnia.

WHAT: MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM
WHERE: OLYMPIC PARK – MUNICH, GERMANY
WHEN: SATURDAY 23rd JULY 2016
WHY: PYROMUSICAL CONCERT
COST: FROM €26 – €68

We tend to focus our attention on competition rather than fireworks related articles but as this event draws visitors from across Europe and the rest of the World, we thought we would give it a look over.

The Midsummer Night’s Dream Festival (locally Munchen Summernachtstraum) was first held in 2005 and continues to captivate audiences every year. The fireworks during the festival fill the skies overhead with a sea of colour which is sure to captivate and enchant even the most difficult to please.

A firework display with music and accompanying lighting show at the Olympic Stadium are the perfect marriage of technology and the emotive force of beautiful fireworks.

Entertainment will be brought to the huge crowds from international recording artistes like British singer-songwriter Marlon Roudette (When the Beat Drops Out) who’s music is a mixture of funky grooves and soul lifting melodies which are perfect for a Summer evening, particularly in Munich where the average temperature in late July being a very pleasant 75° Fahrenheit.
