Stanford Hall is the second venue for the firework champions competition with 4 more fantastic displays from 3 more top UK firework companies.

With Shakespeare’s Avon flowing through the park, this beautiful house has been within the same family since 1430. It was pulled down and rebuilt in the 1960’s it now resembles and shows the fantastic period that it was built in.

As with all the events at the firework champions, parking and disabled parking is available and will be monitored by friendly staff to help and direct you accordingly. Please note, there are some areas which are dark and the ground may be uneven, and may not be suitable for everyone.


Preshow entertainment includes information about the teams, interviews with the firework teams, and other interesting facts.

Options available on food either to bring your own or grab a bite from one of the vendors on the site, just remember as the grounds are within a stately home you can take along picnics and furniture, blankets etc. to sit on but under NO circumstances are BBQ’s or open flame appliances on site anywhere.

Voting to crown the champions couldn’t be easier as you the audience decides by voting for their favorite by text message from your mobile.

This will be the 14th year that its has been held at Stanford with each one beating the year so you know that you’re in for a treat.

Spectacular Fireworks Lights Up Tallest Building In Seoul

On the 2nd April 2017 the Lotte World Tower in Seoul, South Korea was the setting of a spectacular firework display.

The display was in celebration of the opening of the Lotte World Tower (which had taken more than six years to build) now South Korea’s tallest building and the fifth tallest building in the world.

30,000 fireworks were used in a show that lasted for eleven minutes and the display could be seen for miles around. The Fireworks show had eight different genres of music and the theme of the fireworks show was ‘Miracle of Korea’.

Lotte World Tower is now the fifth tallest building in the world, only beaten by the Ping An Finance Centre in China, Shanghai Tower in China, Royal Clock Tower in Saudi Arabia and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

The fireworks display is reported to have cost around $3.5 million dollars, and the pyrotechnics took a professional French display team 17 days to install, however, this was a fireworks show the people of South Korea will never forget.



Well, there is quite a weekend of firework events in store with events up and down the Country to satisfy even the most ardent of pyro lovers.

Yesterday, it all kicked off on the West Coast with the first of the displays for the World Firework Championships in Blackpool with the professional team from Australia’s Skylighter Fireworks. They have competed all over the World including the PIPC in the Philippines so they are no stranger to the pressure of competition. Unfortunately, the event will only be stopped if the weather makes the event unsafe.

Friday 9th September was also the start of the brilliant Pyronale in Berlin. Every year, pro firing teams from across Europe come together in this huge two-day event held at the Berlin Olympic stadium. Tonight sees representatives from France, Poland and Brazil filling the skies and on 10th September, Austria, Romania and Portugal fire in competition and whilst the votes are being cast and counted, organisers Flash Art will be entertaining the spectators with a finale show.

Saturday Sep 10th the second night of competition in Macau in China, in which UK team Pyro 2000 take on the mighty SUGYP who represent Switzerland in the skies over Macau’s waterfront. The theme is Bond and the fireworks have to be choreographed to the music track.

September 10th also marks the last in the season of the mighty Firework Champion events. This last one is at the beautiful Ragley Hall in Alcester, Warwickshire. Fantastic evening out for all the family, grab your picnic, blankets and a bottle of fizz and get along to this fantastic event in which 3 teams will compete for the champions title and the finale is supplied by pyro big wigs MLE Pyrotechnics.

There will be fireworks for the start of the annual illuminations event in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire. This event has been ongoing since 1897 making this the 119th year it has been entertaining people from all over the country.

Over to the East Coast on Saturday, for the annual Scarborough Goldwing Light Parade; a one day event that raises thousands for Scarborough RNLI Lifeboats. All of the decorated motorbikes are there to see during the day so you can have a closer look at the beautifully customised vehicles before they parade along the North and South promenades before a beautiful fireworks finale on the South Bay Beach.

Finally, another of the Sussex Bonfire society events takes place this weekend; Crowborough Bonfire and Carnival. This amazing event has been going on for more than 7 years and free to attend. There will be various stalls and activities as well as fund-raising events for local charities. In the evening, there will be a parade with a Bonfire along with fancy dress events for all to enjoy.
