FIREWORK CHAMPIONS – BELVOIR CASTLE 2019 – RESCHEDULED

FIREWORK CHAMPIONS – BELVOIR CASTLE 2019 – RESCHEDULED

Unfortunately, due to poor weather and extremely high winds, the decision was made to postpone the event due to take place on Saturday 10th August 2019 to Saturday 31st August 2019.

All customers who already have tickets should have received an email confirming this and advising of the change of date.  For those who are unable to attend, there will be special instructions on the email correspondence sent out by organisers MLE Pyrotechnics who will liaise directly with each client.

So, if you can’t attend this date, you can change your venue to another but please bear with the team at MLE who are trying to respond to the huge number of enquiries as quickly as possible.

The team at MLE will also be putting on additional entertainment and ‘something special’ by way of acknowledgment of the inconvenience.

FIREWORK CHAMPIONS – RAGLEY HALL 2019

WHAT: FIREWORK CHAMPIONS – RAGLEY HALL 2019
WHY: NATIONAL FIREWORK COMPETITION
WHEN: SATURDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER 2019
WHERE: RAGLEY HALL, ALCESTER, WARWICKSHIRE
COST: SEE THE FIREWORK CHAMPIONS WEBSITE FOR MORE DETAILS

This is the last of the Firework Champions events for 2019.

The beautiful Ragley Hall is the venue for the final event of the year and this incredible stately home is the family seat of the Marquis of Hertford.

Built in the late 1780’s it comprises of the Hall, 26 acres of stunning gardens and hundreds of acres of wild woodland, created by internationally renowned designer Capability Brown, which is home to deer, pheasant, and squirrels and is enjoyed by hundreds who walk through the grounds annually.

Used today for a wide variety of private events it also supports music festivals, Tough Mudder challenges, and even classic car events.

Ragley Hall Firework Champions

It is home to the 9th Marquis but it was very close to demolition in the early part of the 20th century but was saved from the wrecking hammer when it was called on to be used in the first and second world wars as a military hospital. Between 1956 – 1958 the 8th Marquis had it refurbished and it was one of the first houses to be opened to the public.

Competing in this final event of the Firework Champions schedule of the Summer are as follows:

FIREWORK CRAZY – CHELMSFORD, ESSEX

This team is taking part in Firework Champions for the third time. They fire everything from private events like weddings and anniversaries to huge corporate displays and have a book rammed with Bonfire Night and New Year’s Eve displays every year, thrilling thousands of spectators.

MAGICAL FIREWORKS, MANCHESTER

Second, to fire are Magical Fireworks. This fantastic ground of people are thrilled to be displaying at their first ever Firework Champions Event. An unknown quantity in the competitive fireworks field, I am interested to see what they have to offer.

CELESTIAL DISPLAYS, LEICESTER

Established in 2008 by a group of pyro lovers, this team all have full-time jobs away from firework displays. This will be their first time at Firework Champions and as most of their work has been corporate this far, its certainly a great platform for the company to show their wares.

Once all teams have completed their display, the vote will open. Whilst the votes are cast, MLE Pyrotechnics will take centre stage to offer their finale display.  As suppliers of the incredible Vaccalluzzo Fireworks from Italy, expect beautiful rich colours and effects.

Good luck to all competitors and hopefully by then we will be having something like a Summer (not counting on it but one can but hope).

WHY: NATIONAL FIREWORK COMPETITION
WHERE: EASTNOR CASTLE, LEDBURY, HEREFORDSHIRE
WHEN: SATURDAY 31ST AUGUST 2019

This is the penultimate event in the Firework Champions calendar and one which is widely supported both locally and nationally.

A great social event to spend quality time outdoors with friends and family before an evening of the best the UK has to offer in firework displays.

The set up is that there are 3 competitive displays of around 10 minutes each with a short gap between each team’s display followed by text voting and a finale show whilst the votes are counted by organisers MLE Pyrotechnics.

You can play this either way; a few egg sarnies and a bottle of water or go the full hog and order a luxury hamper with Champagne and foie gras. There are also vendors on site if you get a yearning for a greasy burger too so something to suit every pocket and taste.

There are bouncy castles, rides, and attractions too so the children will have plenty to do before festivities begin.

Here are the competitors:

SKYDAZZLE PYROTECHNICS – NEWPORT, WALES

This team has more than 20 years in the business of pyrotechnics run by hubby and wife team Mike and Karen. They are not afraid of getting wet and muddy and are acknowledged as one of the nicest couples on the pro-firing circuit and Karen mothers and feeds them all. They have a huge array of trophies and will, of course, be bringing their ‘A’ game.  Renowned for their music choreography you can expect a very touching and emotional display.

PENDRAGON FIREWORKS – CWMBRAN, WALES

The premier firework display company in Wales with 20 years experience they have an outstanding safety record and supply fireworks for everything from weddings and celebrations to product launches and all in between.

They won the Welsh National Firework Championships two years running and in 2008 won the prestigious British Firework Championships in Plymouth.

Once all three teams have shown their wares it is time to open the vote, which is done by both a team of judges and the gathered crowds at the event. Whilst this is in process, organisers of the Firework Champions series of events, MLE Pyrotechnics take centre stage. This Daventry based company have been firing professional shows since 2005 and were central in the creation of the spectacular and highly accurate firing system ‘Fire By Wire’ which is used across the firework industry.

We would like to offer all the competitors our very best and we will bring you details of the winners shortly.
