As the school summer holidays are set to begin, eye’s will be pointing upwards as the skies above Great Yarmouth be illuminated, as 6 weeks of Summer, fireworks begin on the 25th July 2018.

Grab your bucket and spade and enjoy the glorious sandy beach, sat between The North Pier of Britannia with its donkey rides available on the beach, theatre and amusements. Or you can walk to the opposite side to the South Wellington Pier where there are amusement arcades, a bowling alley and casino are open all year round.

Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade and pay a visit the array of shops and cafés or grab yourself an ice cream to cool down in the summer sun from one of the many vendors that stretch all along the beach front. And if you’re a bit of a thrill seeker this is covered too as there is the Pleasure Island theme park nearby offers something for all the family to enjoy.

Do Whatever you fancy during the day as there are plenty of things to see and do, but don’t forget the start of the evening entertainment begins around 8pm at the Sea Life Centre gardens. Make sure you get there early and enjoy the live music and entertainment before the show before the anticipated arrival of the fireworks which are off around 10pm.

There are plenty of viewing spots to choose from for the fireworks display so you won’t miss out on the fabulous display, make sure you arrive as early as possible to grab best viewing spot as these fill up quickly. Head over to the grandstand views on the Esplanade area, on either of the piers north or south or anywhere along the seafront.

Along with the fireworks display in Great Yarmouth, there is also another set of pyro released in Hemsby Village on alternative dates so you can double up and get 2 fantastic free aerial displays in the week.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a chance to catch the displays this summer as they have planned to have various displays from May through to Christmas to delight visitors, residents alike.
All the fireworks events are funded by the Greater Yarmouth Tourism and Business improvement area and are completely free of charge.

Make sure that you make a note in your diaries as this summer event is certainly one not to be missed.
