Pyronale Firework Championships

WHAT: PYRONALE FIREWORK CHAMPIONSHIPS
WHY: WORLD FIREWORK CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION
WHEN: FRIDAY 4th and SATURDAY 5th SEPTEMBER 2015
WHERE: OLYMPIC STADIUM – BERLIN - GERMANY
COST: DETAILS AVAILABLE VIA THE EVENT WEBSITE

Pyronale began in 2006 and continues to pit the best of the best from around the World against one another to have the opportunity to be crowned 2015 winner of the title of World champion.

Last year’s winners were the team from Pyroemotions who lifted the Golden Pyronale cup for their efforts which were absolutely outstanding. I caught one of their previous shows but this team are so ‘on it’ it is frightening. Split second timing, exceptional pyro all came together to create a quality display and I didn’t spot a single misfire and the effects were consistently good so it is down to this year’s teams to try to take it up another notch.

There will be two days of competition which will see six of the best teams invited to compete in this pyro spectacle.

The competitors are as follows:

Friday 4th September 2015
PIROTECNIA CABALLER SA - SPAIN
PYROTEX FIREWORX - ENGLAND
POTSDAMER FIREWORKS - GERMANY

Saturday 5th September 2015
PRIVATEX PYRO - SLOVAKIA
PYROSTAR - FINLAND
FIREWORK MARTARELLO-RAMOS - MEXICO

Of course, each one of the contenders has the ability to ‘bring it’ but we will have to wait and see. On paper, the competition is really between Pyrotex Fireworx from the UK and Pirotecnia Caballer Ricassa SA from Spain.

The team from Pyrotex, who’s pedigree on the international competition stage cannot be questioned following on from their win in Malta in 2014, will bring some innovative shapes and effects to the table. If you have not had the chance to catch their winning display, check it out on YouTube – one word AWESOME. The display was dramatic, beautiful and with split second timing it all came together to enable them to lift the silverware.

Pirotecnia Caballer Ricassa brings real depth of colour to their displays and each section has the feeling of being a little finale before the end comes. If they use their blend of pop and traditional music together, you will see something truly special.

We will, as usual, bring you the results and any video footage or pictures as soon as they are available.
